nerd-fonts-UbuntuMono has passed automated validation. It may have or may still fail other checks like testing (verification).
NOTE: No required changes that the validator checks have been flagged! It is appreciated if you fix other items, but only Requirements will hold up a package version from approval. A human review could still turn up issues a computer may not easily find.

Guidelines

Guidelines are strong suggestions that improve the quality of a package version. These are considered something to fix for next time to increase the quality of the package. Over time Guidelines can become Requirements. A package version can be approved without addressing Guideline comments but will reduce the quality of the package.

Can I please ask that you don't push all these packages at once!

Since these are all very similar, I believe it makes sense to get one of them through package moderation first (to make sure that we correct any problems that come up), then we can work on the other ones. If we don't do this, there will a lot of churn through our automated systems, and I would really like to avoid that.

Let's pick one of these fonts packages, and work on that, and then apply all the same changes to the others.

Some thoughts....

  • This package does not embed any files, as such the LICENSE and VERIFICATION files are not required, please remove them
  • The Software Source link points to https://github.com/sumo300/chocolatey-nerd-fonts which is the Package Source. This URL is intended to point to the original source files for the underlying software, in this case the fonts, not the packaging files. Can you please update this?
  • The Software Docs link points to https://github.com/sumo300/chocolatey-nerd-fonts which is the Package Docs. This URL is intended to point to the docs for the underlying software, in this case the fonts, not the docs of the packaging. Can you please update this?
  • You don't seem to be passing a name to the call to Uninstall-ChocolateyFont, so what does this do? Which fonts will be removed from the system? Only the ones installed by this package, or other ones?
  • Within the tools folder, I think you should be more specific about the folder that you are searching for otf files in, i.e the folder that you extracted the zip file to, otherwise, there might be other otf files in the root of the tools folder from other packages.

Again, let's concentrate on one package, make sure that everything has been signed off and approved, before pushing out lots of similar packages.

Thanks

We've found nerd-fonts-UbuntuMono v2.1.0 in a submitted status and waiting for your next actions. It has had no updates for 20 or more days since a reviewer has asked for corrections. Please note that if there is no response or fix of the package within 15 days of this message, this package version will automatically be closed (rejected) due to being stale.

Take action:

  • Log in to the site and respond to the review comments.
  • Resubmit fixes for this version.
  • If the package version is failing automated checks, you can self-reject the package.

If your package is failing automated testing, you can use the chocolatey test environment to manually run the verification and determine what may need to be fixed.

Note: We don't like to see packages automatically rejected. It doesn't mean that we don't value your contributions, just that we can not continue to hold packages versions in a waiting status that have possibly been abandoned. If you don't believe you will be able to fix up this version of the package within 15 days, we strongly urge you to log in to the site and respond to the review comments until you are able to.

Unfortunately there has not been progress to move nerd-fonts-UbuntuMono v2.1.0 towards an approved status within 15 days after the last review message, so we need to close (reject) the package version at this time. If you want to pick this version up and move it towards approval in the future, use the contact site admins link on the package page and we can move it back into a submitted status so you can submit updates.

Status Change - Changed status of package from 'submitted' to 'rejected'.

# VERIFICATION

Verification is intended to assist the Chocolatey moderators and community
in verifying that this package's contents are trustworthy.

This package is published by Michael Sumerano. It contains a single ZIP file
of OpenType and TrueType fonts published by
[Nerd Fonts](https://www.nerdfonts.com/) and Ryan L McIntyre.

The calculated checksum is of the ZIP file downloaded from Nerd Fonts
[releases](https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/releases) on GitHub.

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).

Chocolatey Pro provides runtime protection from possible malware.
