The .NET Framework 4.7.1 Developer Pack lets developers build applications that target the .NET Framework 4.7.1 by using Visual Studio 2015, Visual Studio 2017, or third-party IDEs. This is a single package that bundles the .NET Framework 4.7.1, the .NET 4.7.1 Targeting Pack, and the .NET Framework 4.7.1 SDK.
The .NET Framework 4.7.1 is the next version of the .NET Framework. It is currently feature-complete and in the testing phase. It is not ready for production and is not supported. The current build of the .NET Framework 4.7.1 being shared is build 2539.

In cases where actual malware is found, the packages are subject to removal. Software sometimes has false positives. Moderators do not necessarily validate the safety of the underlying software, only that a package retrieves software from the official distribution point and/or validate embedded software against official distribution point (where distribution rights allow redistribution).
Chocolatey Pro provides runtime protection from possible malware.
