Nvidia Profile Inspector is a tool created for pulling up and editing Application Profile settings within the Nvidia drivers. Much like the "3D settings" page in Nvidia Control Panel. But not only more in-depth, but much more responsive. NVCP requires you to rely on Nvidia for just about everything. Problem is they don't expose every useful feature, might make some wrong assumptions about any given game and the interface is cumbersome.
