pdk has passed automated validation. It may have or may still fail other checks like testing (verification).
NOTE: No required changes that the validator checks have been flagged! It is appreciated if you fix other items, but only Requirements will hold up a package version from approval. A human review could still turn up issues a computer may not easily find.

Notes

Notes typically flag things for both you and the reviewer to go over. Sometimes this is the use of things that may or may not be necessary given the constraints of what you are trying to do and/or are harder for automation to flag for other reasons. Items found in Notes might be Requirements depending on the context. A package version can be approved without addressing Note comments.

pdk has failed automated package testing (verification).
Please visit https://gist.github.com/choco-bot/0a6362c687258dc2056663dbc880cca7 for details.
The package status will be changed and will be waiting on your next actions.

  • NEW! We have a test environment for you to replicate the testing we do. This can be used at any time to test packages! See https://github.com/chocolatey-community/chocolatey-test-environment
  • Please log in and leave a review comment if you have questions and/or comments.
  • If you see the verifier needs to rerun testing against the package without resubmitting (a issue in the test results), you can do that on the package page in the review section.
  • If the verifier is incompatible with the package, please log in and leave a review comment if the package needs to bypass testing (e.g. package installs specific drivers).
  • Automated testing can also fail when a package is not completely silent or has pop ups (AutoHotKey can assist - a great example is the VeraCrypt package).
  • A package that cannot be made completely unattended should have the notSilent tag. Note that this must be approved by moderators.

Hello,

Our previous 3.0.1.3 release downloaded fine for the verification testing phase, e.g., https://gist.github.com/choco-bot/405973ead68c5fc56edd1c0cf4548fc4

2023-12-14 08:40:30,699 2060 [INFO ] - [NuGet] GET https://community.chocolatey.org/api/v2/Packages(Id='pdk',Version='3.0.1.3')

However, our current 3.2.0.0 validation phase seems to be failing because it's not populating the full version, e.g., https://gist.github.com/choco-bot/0a6362c687258dc2056663dbc880cca7

2024-05-10 00:48:58,789 4788 [INFO ] - [NuGet] GET https://community.chocolatey.org/api/v2/Packages(Id='pdk',Version='3.2.0')

Can you please have a look at this to see why this is not downloading the current release?

Thanks,

Gavin

Hi,
It looks like the machine that packed this package is using an old version of Chocolatey CLI, because it is using a non-normalized version.
https://docs.chocolatey.org/en-us/choco/features/version-number-normalization

The package verifier is failing due to a limitation in how the verifier works, as it is not able to find some non-normalized package versions. Please update your version of Chocolatey CLI both locally and on any CI systems, and then re-pack and then re-push this package.

Regards, TheCakeIsNaOH

Hey,

We've just pushed up a new package 3.2.0.1 which has an important fix for this and it has passed the verification so this should be fine to close of.
May be best to just remove this version from the site.

Description

Puppet Development Kit (PDK) is a package of development and testing tools to help you create great Puppet modules.

PDK includes key Puppet code development and testing tools for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X workstations, so you can install one package with the tools you need to create and validate new modules. PDK includes testing tools, a complete module skeleton, and command line tools to help you create, validate, and run tests on Puppet modules. PDK also includes all dependencies needed for its use.

You can also convert existing modules to make them compatible with PDK. This allows you to use all of the creation, validation, and testing tools in PDK with the converted module.
