Description

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio "15" Preview 5 installs run-time components of Visual C++ libraries. These components are required to run C++ applications that are developed using Visual Studio "15" Preview 5 and link dynamically to Visual C++ libraries. The packages can be used to run such applications on a computer even if it does not have Visual Studio “15” Preview 5 installed. These packages also install run-time components of C Runtime (CRT), Standard C++, MFC, C++ AMP, and OpenMP libraries.

PLEASE NOTE: This preview has not been subject to final validation and is not meant to be run on production workstations or servers.

DISCLAIMER: The package id is just an educated guess based on the naming of the Web Platform Installer product VWDOrVs2017AzurePack - Microsoft Azure SDK for .NET (VS "15" Preview). There is no official confirmation that Visual Studio "15" will be released in 2017 or that it will be named Visual Studio 2017.

WARNING: Due to the way Microsoft has built the installer, it replaces the existing Visual Studio 2015 Redistributable (i.e. performs an in-place upgrade). The entry in Programs and Features is still named "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable".
